Sold: 1974 Columbia 26 MkII Sailboat asking $6000
Fibreglass hull, cast iron fin keel, diplaces 6000 lbs, 4'5" draft
Solid built daysailer weekender, this is a fun and easy to sail boat perfect for local cruising.
It is lightly equipped however the hull and rigging are very solid and in excellent condition.
The interior has some stains and the interior cushions could use replacingor refurbishing. The water tank is disconnected and the alcohol stove is a big question mark. We have owned this boat for three years and never felt comfortable with an alcohol stove so we used a propane camp stove that we will include with the boat. We were never on the boat more than 10 days in a row so we just carried jugs of water. Marine head but no holding tank.
It comes with a 8 Hp mercury outboard, 2 fore sails 1 has some rust stains, both are in good working condition. Main sail, with 1 reef, was recently in for some restiching and we were told it is still in very good condition. Two large lazarettes under the cockpit seats with lots of storage. Andersen winches. 2 anchors, main anchor is a Danforth with 30 feet of chain and 180 feet of line, spare anchor is a Bruce with chain and line attached.
Many recent upgraded items:
Hull was taken to bare and epoxy barrier coat proffessionaly applied to the cast iron keel and forward parts, then 3 layers of micron CSC bottom paint June 2008.
New running rigging, halyards 2008, main sheet in 2007
Genoa tracks rebedded cars replaced 2006
New running lights 2006, New interior lights 2008
VHF radio 2007, Windex 2008
Also included in the sale is an older polaris 8' inflateable dinghy with a older 2 hp outboard. Both in good working condition.
There is also a cockpit tent and a whisker pole.
Life jackets, life ring, flares plus more
